Hi,
I am currently working on implementing a custom Economic Calendar application and I need direct guidance on which specific APIs and endpoints to use within the LSEG ecosystem.
My application has two primary requirements:

Historical & Upcoming Events List: I need to retrieve a schedule of economic events, including upcoming dates, historical events, previously published values, forecasts, and revisions.

Real-Time Updates: I need to listen for and receive the actual published values in real-time the moment the data is announced.

While I am already familiar with the
=ECI
RIC structure for macroeconomic indicators, I am struggling to find the exact services to call. Could you please provide:

REST Endpoints: What are the exact API endpoints for fetching the historical data and the calendar structure?

Streaming Solution: Which specific streaming service or endpoint (e.g., WebSocket API) is recommended for real-time announcements of these
=ECI
RICs?

Documentation: Could you share direct links to the relevant API documentation, reference guides, or tutorials for these specific endpoints?

Thank you in advance for pointing me to the right documentation and endpoints!

We noticed that the values in get_history call from LSEG python library does not reflect these revisions for prior months for few hours… today the values were updated 2-3 hours after the initial release. When we use get_history, we just specify the ric and do not include additional parameters.

Is there a way to ensure we get the revisions in a timely manner? Are there parameters we need to consider? Or is there a way to use get_data and get more than this and prior month's data?

Hi,

I'm working with the pricing stream API and I've encountered an issue specifically with subscribing to economic data.

I am able to successfully create a stream for bid and ask of EUR=. The stream opens correctly, the status changes to 'Live', and I receive updates as expected.

However, when I try to subscribe to economic data indicators, the stream status perpetually remains 'Pending' and never seems to go live. I don't receive any updates, nor do I get any error messages.
Here is the Python code snippet I'm using to define and open the stream for economic data (I only changed ticker and fields):

```Python
stream_definition = pricing.Definition( universe=["USJOB=ECI", "USOILC=ECI"],fields=["ECON_ACT", "RTR_POLL", "ECON_PRIOR"])
# Bind all necessary callbacks for verification
stream = stream_definition.get_stream()
stream.on_status(self._on_status_change)
stream.on_update(self._on_update_received)
stream.on_error(self._on_error)
# Open the stream
stream.open(with_updates=True)
```

I confirmed the status is Pending, but it never progresses beyond that.

Given that economic data is not continuous and is released at specific, scheduled times, should the stream correctly remain in a 'Pending' state until the moment of the data release? Or should it become 'Live' immediately after opening, and then just wait to send an update?

Any clarification or guidance on how to properly stream economic data would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

Hello everyone,

I am quite new to Refinitiv Workspace and have up until now only retrieved company information in Excel using the formula builder.

However, now I need to retrieve historical GDP data in Excel for broader geographic regions, namely the US, Europe and Asia from the year 2002 until 2012. Is there any way to do so?

In another post I have already found the code of the Economic Indicator in order to retrieve GDP data for the US, which would be "aUSXGDP/C" (or "aUSXGDP/CA" in case the first one would not work). This first code worked, however the post said to simply adapt the two letters of the country code respectively. However, I am not sure how to proceed now, as I am looking for information on regions, not only countries and when trying to impute "EU" instead, it did not work. Does anyone know how to proceed in this case?

I would be really grateful for any kind of help! Thank you very much!

I would like to ask the following question. I am downloading data for the last 10 years for all companies that have ESG data. Using Eikon's "Build Formula" function, I have been able to download the ESG data and part of the economic-financial data. This download shows me the data as shown in the first image. I would like that, when I download the economic-financial data with Datastream, the data would be shown as in the first case, but they appear as shown in image two. How can I do it so that the structure of this download appears the same as with Eikon's "Build Formula" function?

Thank you very much.

In a monthly way for Sheet 1, and in a Quarterly way in Sheet 2 (JFM, AMJ, JAS, OND).

I did make a code for future prices but it is not working well when I switch to the economic variables. I can share this if of any help, though is quite big, not the most efficient code. Any help or idea please?

Thank you
