So far I have only been able to pull historical data. How can I pull the next projected earnings report date and time as well? Please use AAPL.O as an example.

I’m having trouble correctly using server-side functions AVG and SUM.

I would like to iterate through dates and get the average price for a preceding number of trading days. The API returns results to me that are not what they should be. Removing the AVG function and just requesting the preceding three days of prices for each date, I i can see it's giving inconsistent results.

My ultimate goal is a dataframe showing a RIC's average price and closing price over several dates, with the average reflecting a set number of preceding trading days, not calendar days.

Can you please tell me what I’m doing wrong?

from Eikon using the C# API but I am having a hard time finding fields which represent these. Doing a basic query for events doesn't seem to return such events. So my two questions are:

1) Does Eikon provide such events?

2) If so, what are the fields I should use?

we are currently using Eikon Desktop to activiate the Eikon Data API in order to receive eikon data via Python (GUI: Spyder, Package "eikon").

Unfortunatelly, we have to migrate to a Windows Server Environment. To my knowledge, Eikon Desktop has no server version, therefore, we can not install or use it in the new environment. However, in order to use the Eikon Data API, Eikon Desktop has to be run on the same local machine. Therefore, we are looking for a solution as otherwise we can not continue using Eikon Data in Python.

To my knowledge, Refintiiv Workspace might be a solution. It can be run via a browser, therefore no installation is needed and we should still be able to use the Eikon Data API and get Data into Python.

So far, we have tested this approach in our current (desktop) environment. However, when I run Refinitiv Workspace, I receive the usual error message in python, that die Eikon Data API is not working (s. below). When I run Eikon Desktop, everything is working fine as usual.

Therefore, I have the following questions:
1) How can we continue using Eikon Data in our new WIndows Server Envrionment?

2) Is Refinitiv Workspace a potential solution to our issue?

3) As exceptions to the firewall in our new envrionment have to be implemented manually:
Which ports / URL and other Procedures are used?

My code for querying the data API runs on Windows with Eikon Desktop installed (using the same credentials for Eikon Desktop), but I cannot find Eikon Desktop for Mac OS X. What do I need to install to get the API running?

The Eikon Grades displayed on the Reuters terminal are correct but the Python API Grades are incorrect according to the actual research published by the brokerages.

This issue seems to be much more widespread than I previously thought. It effects many symbols and various brokerages.

This seems to be a backend issue. Is this being addressed?

I have a function which tries to request the last 50 bars. It works fine most of the times, but sometimes when there is a new request, I get "Index was outside the bounds of the array" as error message back. Any idea why that is?

I have noticed that we are getting some difficult to process prices on some instruments. Please see attached image highlighting the discrepancies for DCTA.L

There is the latest trade price of 136.6 at 13:28 shown in Time and Sales. On the chart and quote its last price is at 137.4

Another discrepancy is the chart data for instance shown in the image, on 10/02/2022 the Open price is higher than the High price.

Wondering how to handle the price discrepancy from the data feed API perspective, whether we need to put in extra handling of this or if it will be corrected in the data in the future.

I face this error message when running python with eikon api today. The error message is module 'anyio' has no attribute 'Lock'. I have already downgraded the anyio version from 3.4.0 to 3.2.1, but the problem stays. How to solve this problem?
