How can get references to utilize the Data Library for Python where I can use a platform session where we have our own LSEG local platform (IP of Local server and DACS username/AppID)

The second is that I use the search.Definition() function in lseg.data API, shown in the next screenshot. After applying the two main filters I need (i.e., issuer country = UK and bond type = corp), I get more than 1,800,000 observations, which doesn't seem about right.

Could tell me the difference between the two methods, and where I might did wrong? Most importantly, if I want to build a comprehensive UK corporate bond universe, what is the appropriate way to that? Thanks!

I am trying to access the Filings API using the FinancialFiling GraphQL query in Python.

I can retrieve an access token successfully using the password grant flow. The API returns FilingDocument objects, but all data fields are null, including DocId, DocumentTitle, and FilingDate.

I tested in the API Playground, and I only see /accounts APIs. I do not see /data/… API families or GraphQL console.

This suggests that my account/AppKey does not have entitlement for RDP Filings API document access or document retrieval.

Could someone please confirm:

1. whether Workspace-only subscriptions include Filings API access
2. which entitlements are required to enable the FinancialFiling / doc retrieval APIs
3. wheteher we can get access for acadamic research

The below request has worked very reliably over the past few weeks when I tried:

As I understand upon reading the documentation in the developers portal, the Refinitiv Data Platform is being phased out and being replaced with LSEG Data Platform. But the step-by-step guide sent by you in your welcome email links to the older Refinitiv Data Platform.

See the first line of the overview which mentions that LSEG Data Library is version 2 of Refinitiv Data Library for Python. i.e. LSEG Data Library provides access to LSEG Data Platform. As I understand the syntax of python code is also slightly different.

Also, within the documents, I saw a mention that the authorisation via V1 (using Password and App Key) will not be supported and will be migrated to V2 (using client Secret). So I am confused as to why my setup is being done using the unsupported version.

I’m using the LSEG Data Library for Python to retrieve instrument identifiers (ISIN, CUSIP, SEDOL, etc.) from RICs as part of a global equity mapping pipeline. For most instruments, this works well. However, for a subset of equities the API does not return all identifiers, even though they are clearly visible in Refinitiv Workspace.

Issue:
The output does not include TR.CUSIP for this RIC.
But when I check the same instrument in Refinitiv Workspace, the CUSIP is available under the instrument’s identifiers.

This behavior is not limited to one RIC — I am working with a large universe of global equities, and the identifier completeness is crucial for my downstream mapping and reconciliation workflows.

1. Why would ld.get_data() omit certain identifiers (e.g., CUSIP) even though they appear in Workspace for the same RIC?
2. Is there an alternative or recommended method to reliably retrieve all identifiers for global equities via the Python API?

In particular, I cannot find the modules to simplify API access (i.e., FilingsQuery.ipynb and SymbolLookup.ipynb) — see bottom of the picture.

I am wondering why this could be?

Relatedly: do I have the necessary credentials to download annual reports when I am subscribed to the LSEG Workspace?

It's probably in round lots correct, meaning the ACC_SIZE,1 stands for 100 shares at 125.29 Right?

I ran this code last Friday, and it consistently returned 10,762 observations (9,209 after deleting missings for period end dates, total assets, and income numbers). However, when running it again today, I only get 9,981 observations, of which only 5,930 are non-missing.

What could explain this huge discrepancy in my results?

Is there a way, we can return data for every fields without passing the list of fields?

I have been testing this procedure using the rd.get_data() function. This allows me to retrieve the name and PermID of the ultimate parent for a list of LEIs. I have tested this with a large sample of funds and it works very well.

I am now trying to generalise this to a dynamic setting with the help of the rd.get_history() function, but this does not seem to work, as the retrieved fields seem 'static'. Is there any way to overcome this issue?

I get the following error:

Then, I changed the fields to ['CF_DATE', 'OPEN_PRC', 'CF_HIGH', 'CF_LOW', 'CF_CLOSE']. This time the result gives me the proper close price. However, The 'CF' can only gives me the data of the latest day, which is shown below

Similarly, I also encountered issues with the FX CROSS RATE for currencies. For example, RIC = 'USDEUR=R'. In Python, I used the corresponding fields=['TR.OPENPRICE.DATE', 'TR.OPENPRICE', 'TR.HIGHPRICE', 'TR.LOWPRICE', 'TR.CLOSEPRICE'], but I was unable to retrieve any data. Then I tried fields=['CF_DATE', 'OPEN_PRC', 'CF_HIGH', 'CF_LOW', 'CF_LAST'], which allowed me to retrieve data for the latest day, but I couldn't retrieve any data for previous days.

I wonder if there is an appropriate way to grab those data.

How to get access to the first one(2. png)? On windows I know that in the start menu, I can try searching for 'Eikon' then looking for 'Refinitiv Eikon - Microsoft Excel'. However, I don't know how to do that on Mac.

I'm having a weird issue related to the refinitiv data API, especially the rd.discovery.Chain class.

I'm using this class to retrieve components of governmental yield curves, by create a Chain class with the chain RIC that i need, then using the .constituents method to retreive the information.

This works well 90% of the time. However sometimes the rd.discovery.Chain call just hangs undefinitly. The RIC passed is the correct chain RIC, in fact if i restart my API connection, the call works well, so it is not an issue of input.

There is no common factors in the RICs that cause this, i would say this issues appears in 1 in 20 calls.

I'm using a plateform session initialized with

Has anyone experience that issue before ?

My question is, how does one find out the possible values for SELECT? And for that matter, the FILTER and ORDERBY?

Doing a SearchAll only seems to return a few values, compared to what seems possible with the SELECT. Any help would be appreciated.
