Hi Team, is there any way we can download historical economic events from the Python API?

I tried using the Code Creator and the fields supported is only 14. Client is looking for the following: timestamp, polls, surprise, prior, revised, etc.

When I provided the result of Code creator, they want to know how they can set the parameters but per checking this seems to be not possible.

Can you help and advise on this?

The best resource for content questions is the Helpdesk support team, which can be reached by submitting queries through LSEG Support. The support team will either have the required content expertise ready available or can reach out to relevant content experts to get the answer for you.

You need to ask for the Excel formula, such as =RDP.Data, that can be used to retrieve the required data. Then, we can help you converting that formula to Python code.

This is Gio from LSEG Support. I have checked the Formula builder wherein we use those fields to create formula and we can only see 14 economic indicators available. These does not match to the field that the client is looking for

Client is looking for API Script. Complying to your request, we have the following Excel formula =@RDP .Data("USJOB=ECI",J10:W10,"CH=Fd RH=IN CONVERTCODE=YES") which retrieves the same data as API script I initially provided to them. Can you check if there is any way we can convert this to python code wherein parameters can be set to pull the historical data?

Which fields are listed in the range J10:W10?

Do you have an Excel formula that can return historical data for those fields?

The API and Excel pull data from the same source. Therefore, if Excel cannot retrieve the data, it is likely that the API cannot retrieve it either.
