Usage of RIC while subscribing using RFA

I am using RFA C++ v8.2

Could you please explain the usage of RIC in \itemList configuration?

For e.g. \itemList = "CAD="

* Does this mean we subscribe to all CAD feeds from all different contributors?

* Does it include a mixture of individual contributor feeds as well as composite feeds? Or is there a separate RIC code for LSEG provided composite rate?
* Which contributors do LSEG include in their composite rate?
* Is it possible to subscribe to a few contributors instead of all i.e. \itemList = "CAD=BARL, CAD=BCUY"?

@Jirapongse when you say "the contributor of CAD= is REFINITIV.", could you please provide more details? Are you saying it's a composite quote?

When we receive quotes from contributors such as BCHK, COBA when subscribed using CAD= , how do we interpret the contributor here? Is it from REFINITIV or BHCK/COBA?

As far as I know, the contributor of CAD= is REFINITIV.

Yes, you can specify a contributor in a RIC, such as CAD=BCHK, and CAD=COBA. You can use the RIC Search tool to search RICs.

The itemList is not a RFA configuration. It is an application's configuration. For example, the RFA consumer sample supports the itemList configuration. Therefore, users can specify multiple RICs in this configuration.

Configuration variables for each Consumer-type client:

session - (Required, no default) RFA Session to be used by this Consumer

client.

service - (Required, no default) Service name to be used to request.

itemList - (default = TRI.N) Comma separated RIC List to be used to request.
