LSEG.Data (2.0.0) - API request closing price data for specific dates.

Question

Hi There,

Our DEV team have coded using LSEG.Data (2.0.0).

They would like to request historical close prices for specific dates, will this be possible?

* LSEG API code being used = LSEG.Data (2.0.0)
* Developer specified LSEG.Data.Content.HistoricalPricing & LSEG.Data.Content being used in their code. 
* The DEV team require their API to be able to request close data for specific dates.
* Note:- The FID "HSTCLSDATE" works correctly.
* RIC Example :- BBBEURIND3M=
* The API DACS ID has PDP WWETINSTR & WWOTCNTR

Yes, good point, the API is only connecting to the ADS/Real-time, so possibly we will need to review the LSEG Data Platform account option.

Thank you for reaching out to us.

To retrieve historical data, you need to have the Workspace account or the LSEG Data Platform account.

The RTDS or real-time server can't provide historical data.

Hi @adam_saye1 ,

You can put parameter 'start' and 'end' to put the date range of the data you want to get, for example

import lseg.data as ld

from lseg.data.content import historical_pricing

ld.open_session()

response = historical_pricing.events.Definition(

    universe = "BBBEURIND3M=", 

    start = '2026-04-01', 

    end = '2026-04-30'

).get_data()

response.data.df
