API and INC (workspace) difference

 

We are facing issues with API response for fundamental data; data points are missing in the API response even though its available in the workspace INC app.

 

examples:
1. KIOC.NS, latest period end date available on INC is March 2026 but using API we get Dec 2025

2. FORC.NS, period ending Sep 2024 financials available on INC but missing in API response.

3. ATRD.NS, period ending March 2024 financials available on INC but missing in API response.

Kindly check the screenshot for the difference

Note: The data we need is visible in LSEG Financials via the INC app in Workspace, but the equivalent request via API returns null / older values. We would like to understand why there is a difference between the workspace INC app and the API for the same data?

Thank you for reaching out to us.

When comparing API results, please verify them against the corresponding formulas in Workspace Excel.

I tested the same formula in Workspace Excel and received a NULL value as well.

=@RDP.Data("ATRD.NS","TR.TOTALREVENUE(PERIOD=FQ-8),TR.TOTALREVENUE(PERIOD=FQ-8).PERIODENDDATE","CH=Fd RH=IN",B2)

You need to check fields and parameters that can provide the required data.

After obtaining a valid Workspace Excel formula, you can refer to the article "How to Convert the =@RDP.Data Excel Function into Code Using the LSEG Data Library for Python" to convert it into Python code.
