Please contact your LSEG account team or sales team directly regarding the account license and RDP account. Using a Workspace account to connect to RDP may violate the data license.

RDP vs EMA/ETA – Understanding Differences

RDP is a platform on Cloud that provides the REST API for clients to access data. On RDP, there are a lot of endpoints that provide different sets of content, such as news, historical data, symbology, search, and pricing analytics.

EMA/ETA are SDKs that focus on consuming and publishing real-time financial streaming data. EMA/ETA SDKs can connect and consumer real-time data from the data feed products, such as Real-Time Distribution System and Real-Time Optimized server.

Therefore, they are different products. Please contact your LSEG account team or sales team directly to verify which products are suitable for your use cases.

Yes, RDP can provide streaming real-time data through Real-Time Optimized server. Each service on RDP has its own usage limitations. You can check the reference pages on the API Playground or contact the helpdesk team directly via LSEG Support for the usage limitations of the required services.

RDP is a platform on cloud. It provides REST APIs for clients to access data so the programming languages and tools that support REST APIs can consume data from RDP.
