Eikon Data API (EDAPI) used in those examples is quite old. Please use the LSEG Data Library for Python instead. You can refer to this Essential Guide to the Data Libraries - Generations of Python library (EDAPI, RDP, RD, LD) article.

For the second example, please use this one ( https://github.com/LSEG-API-Samples/Article.LD.Python.EconomicProfit ) instead.

Yes, the client can use an API Key to run those examples.

API Keys can be created by using the App Key Generator (APPKEY) tool in LSEG Workspace.
