LSEG Data Library using ldpv2

Hi, I have a LSEG Workspace account. I am able to lseg.data in python code when my desktop session is logged in. Can I also use lseg.data without my desktop being logged in by supplying credentials to a platform session? How do I use platform.ldpv2 which i believe is replacing the older the platform.ldp. This requires client_id and client_secret. Is that the same as lseg workspace login id and password?

The Workspace and Data Platform are distinct offerings. As far as I am aware, Workspace is geared toward desktop users, whereas the Data Platform supports enterprise-level or machine-based usage.
