Require clarification on RFA 7.0 with OMM /RSSL -operational continuity beyond Feb 26,2026

Please clarify on below points regarding PCN206364.

1.Our current implementation utilizes RFA 7.0 with OMM/RSSL. That RFA 7.0-based implementations will continue to operate until Q4 2028 even tough official support ends on Feb 28,2026, Meaning the existing RFA 7.0—will continue to function until then.

Also, before support for RFA 7.0 is stopped, Refinitiv will provide a separate product change notification in advance. This means RFA 7.0 will not be discontinued suddenly.

2. In parallel, we have already begun the upgrade process to migrate to RFA 8. However, due to complexities and the significant code changes required, we anticipate requiring additional time to rewrite the code to support RFA 8. So, request confirmation that our migration timeline can safely align with an additional three months, extending from February 28, 2026.

The specific point I am referring to is:

"Since you are using the OMM/RSSL interface, your RFA 7 application should continue to function after Q4 2008. The Q4 2008 cutoff applies only to the legacy Marketfeed/SSL interface."

According to this PCN-5694, RFA 7.0.x has been end of life since 2014.

Currently, we support RFA Java 7.8 and 8.2 or above.

This PCN‑206434 has been announced since 2023. According to this notice, support for the following components will be removed: the Real‑Time Legacy API, RFA 7.x (both 32‑bit and 64‑bit versions), and SFC. As a result, if any issues are found in RFA 7.x after 28 February 2026, the support team may be unable to investigate the problem or provide fixes for RFA 7.x.

Since you are using the OMM/RSSL interface, your RFA 7 application should continue to function after Q4 2028. The Q4 2028 cutoff applies only to the legacy Marketfeed/SSL interface.

Thank you for your response. To ensure a clear and consistent understanding for everyone, could you please clarify if 'until' would be a more precise term than 'after' in the sentence, 'your RFA 7 application should continue to function after Q4 2028'? .

This means that after Q4 2028, RTDS will remove support for the Marketfeed/SSL connection. However, your application uses the OMM/RSSL interface, which continues to be supported by RTDS. Therefore, your RFA 7 application should still function after Q4 2028 when using the OMM/RSSL interface

Please note, however, that at that time, the RFA 7 application itself will no longer be supported by the API support team.

RFA 8 is still not the current strategic API.

It is better to migrate the application to Real-Time SDKs which supports C/C++, Java, and C#.
