Can Workspace API get story for news sources outside Reuters?

Hi,

Can we call the story of a news in Workspace API where the news source is not from Reuters? For example, a user has a subscription to a News source for example FT.

In Workspace News application, the FT news headline will be available and to view the full story, you need to click on a link, and it will redirect you to a website where you need to sign-in for the user to read the full story.

In an API call workflow, is it possible to get the story for this type of News sources? Is there an additional code and/or syntax needed?

Hello @dangabriel

The client can use the "Source:<source>" in the query to specify the new source.

Example:

ld.news.get_headlines("Topic:COM and Source:FT", start="20.02.2026", end=timedelta(days=-4), count=10)

Example 2:

ld.news.get_headlines("Topic:COM AND (Source:DJN OR Source:X)", start="20.02.2026", end=timedelta(days=-4), count=30)

I think the News Story is from the same source as its headline.

Example: I use the storyId from Dow Jones source.

Typically, users can retrieve stories by using the story IDs.

Yes, that is the story of that news. Clicking the link to the external source is beyond our API scope.
