What is the recommended way to lookup the Options RICs for a Cash Equity to be able request via RTDS

in 2026 what is LSEG's recommended way for applications to find the RIC codes they are after?

Just had a request for an application to use RTDS (EDGE Feeds from LSEG feed this) with Full tick real-time feed and if they have the cash equity e.g. VOD.L they find the options available across different exchanges that have the options for vodafone.

I found this speedguide page about LIFFE Equity & Index Options (EQUOPT).

According to this page, the chain RICs are 0#VOD*.L and 0#GLEN*.L. You need to contact the content support team via LSEG Support to confirm this.

Regarding other APIs, we have Search API available on the Data Platform. This API can be used to search for items. You can check this Instant REST Access for Real-Time Applications article regarding how to apply it into RTDS. For more information, please contact your LSEG account team or Sales team directly.

Thanks for the quick reply.  I don't want to use Workspace for this.  We want to programmatically find the option RIC's or a method we could use to request these from the RTDS (LSEG distribution platform we have, used to be called TREP).  So i if had a list of RIC's e.g VOD.L, GLEN.L we can then request all the Options prices for these RIC's from the RTDS.   I know LSEG have 5-+ API's do any of them offer this feature?

I am not sure if I understood your question. I am assuming you are interested in finding the options RICs for Vodafone globally. If yes, there are two ways of doing it.

If you have access to Workspace you can head to the Advanced Search app (type AS in the search bar on LSEG Workspace) and then you do the following:

* Under Universe Builder > choose 'Equity & Index Derivatives' > 'Options'
* On the left hand side, under Filters > Click the + icon > Name = Vodafone.

This will give you all the options related to Vodafone. You can narrow your search by additional filters like Exchange.

I would recommend going through this article for more details and the option via API too.
