Can we change the CaseId for existing cases in WC1 using PATCH endpoint?

We would like to update the caseId for the existing cases in WC1 based on our internal system Ids for the cases. Is it possible to do this using the PATCH endpoint? We can pass the new CaseId for the existing CaseSystemId and can WC1 update the CaseId field?

Hello @Vijay_SPL, thank you for reaching out. Yes, you can use the API PATCH endpoint: Partial Update an Existing Case by its caseSystemId. In the example below, I am using v3:

If the only thing you would like to update is the caseId, then this is all you need. Please read the linked documentation to ensure that you use the appropriate screen mode in the URL (in this case, I did not want to screen so I chose "NONE" as the enum).

Additionally, if for some reason you need to update this case again in the future (let's say you'd like to change the caseScreeningState), you must include the caseId once again so that it is not autogenerated once again.
