need support on Refinitiv API or LSEG Data API installation

hi, Team

A client of mine is using Eikon API, and no he wants to update to Refinitiv API or LSEG Data API, but by pip install command, the error shows as attachment.

the user is Private line user, and he said he install Eikon API by downloading lots of packages from our website （which of them works he cannot tell）, but he cannot find similar packages of Refinitiv/LSEG API

Could we help him out plz

You can also try the pip install command with the --trusted-host pypi.python.org --trusted-host files.pythonhosted.org --trusted-host pypi.org --no-cache-dir argument.

Example:

python -m pip install --trusted-host pypi.python.org --trusted-host files.pythonhosted.org --trusted-host pypi.org --no-cache-dir lseg-data jupyterlab matplotlib

If the command with the suggested argument and my colleague suggestions do not help, please contact your local network team to access PyPI (https://pypi.org/) website via Python pip tool.

Hi @Blue_20260119 ,

The installation issue is caused by the user's environment blocking access to PyPI, and also an incorrect package name was used. (There seems to be a space between lseg. and data, could you please ask the user to try pip install lseg-data instead)

To install the LSEG Data library on user's environment, we recommend either:

* Allowing access to PyPI

Asking their infra/network team to allow:

- https://pypi.org

- https://files.pythonhosted.org
* Or performing an offline installation by downloading all dependencies externally

If internet is absolutely blocked:

Step 1. Download packages on internet machine, This will downloadlseg-data andall dependencies (pandas, requests, etc.)

pip download lseg-data -d packages/

Step 2. Transfer to user's machine

Copy packages/ folder

Step 3. Install offline

pip install --no-index --find-links=packages lseg-data
