My concern is about the URL shown in the log file (POST http://10.120.4.6:9998/api/v1/data).

Typically, the Eikon Data API and the LSEG Data Library for Python, when using a desktop session, connect via localhost (127.0.0.1) to the API Data Proxy—a Workspace component. In this setup, both the application and the Workspace application must be running on the same bare-metal machine.

However, according to the logs, the API is not using localhost (127.0.0.1) to connect to the API Data Proxy. This suggests that the client application may not be running on the same machine or environment as Workspace, which could violate the intended desktop/API usage model. You should clarify this setup with the client.

The Eikon library is obsolete. Would highly recommend switching to the latest LSEG Data Library for Python. This article can help for the same:
