Dacs license version compatibility with DACS libs

Hi Team,

We are currently using the Open DACS (7.12.0.F1) libraries that were bundled with the RFA API 8.2.5 package:

> strings libDacs.so | grep VERSION

   version.c    VERSION dlib8.2.5.L3

> strings libwndacs.so | grep VERSION

DACS_API_VERSION

   version.c    VERSION dacs7.12.0.F1

> strings libRFA_Common.so | grep VERSION

version.c   VERSION 8.2.5 RELEASE  (Internal Node: rfaut8.2.5.L3)

We are planning to upgrade our Open DACS license version from 7.9 to 8.2.

Could you please advise whether this license upgrade may introduce any compatibility issues with our current RFA/Open DACS libraries? Also, are there any API-side changes, library upgrades, configuration updates, or other actions that we should consider as part of this migration?

Do you means upgrading a DACS Server from 7.9 to 8.2?

Typically, Open DACS API connects to a DACS server through a DACS Sink Daemon. It doesn't directly connect to a DACS server. Therefore, it should work fine with DACS server 8.2.

However, if you encounter any issues after the upgrade, you can contact the API Support team directly through Contact Premium Support for further investigation.
