How can we configure lseg.data for headless Linux access using technical (non-personal) accounts, each bound to a specific application-server hostname, with no interactive desktop or personal login.
Hi @Vyoum ,
Could you please let me know which kind of account you have, is it the Data Platform account (RDP)?
@Vyoum
Thank you for reaching out to us.
It may be an account for the LSEG Data Platform.
Please note that LSEG Workspace and the LSEG Data Platform are separate products. For questions about obtaining an account for the LSEG Data Platform REST APIs, please contact your LSEG account representative or sales team directly.
Hello @Vyoum
As mentioned by my colleagues above, you need the Data Platform APIs (aka RDP, or Delivery Platform) account to use with the https://developers.lseg.com/en/api-catalog/lseg-data-platform/lseg-data-library-for-python "Platform Session" connection type (check the Quickstart page for more detail). The Data Platform (RDP, or Delivery Platform) consumes data from the Cloud (currently AWS), so you can use in your server/backend.
The RDP account has two types of user-id:
Please note that the Data Platform and Workspace are different products. The user account and permission sets are not the same.
Please contact your LSEG representative such as Account Manager, CSM or Sale Team about the Data Platform APIs.
