C++20 compatible version of RFA API

Question

Hi Team, We are currently using RFA C++ version 8.2.5 to consume market data. We have encountered compatibility issues with Include/Common/RFA_WString.h when building our application with C++20. Could you please advise whether there is a version of the RFA C++ API that officially supports C++20? If so, we would appreciate guidance on obtaining the appropriate package. I was able to reproduce the issue. It appears to be caused by a new restriction introduced in C++20.

You need to be a RDC named user in order to submit a ticket to the API support team via Contact Premium Support.

If you are a RDC named user, you will see the Contact Premium Support button when accessing this RFA C++ Product page.

Please contact your LSEG account team or sales representative directly to register for the RDC (Developer Connect) service. Please note that this service is separate from the LSEG Developer Community.

Thank you for your response.

For RFA C++ 8.2.5 the StarterConsumer Example etc are compiling fine because the STL_HELPER compiler option is not enabled. But in our application it does. When I am using this compiler option -DSTL_HELPER  I am facing same issue for StarterConsumer, ProviderInteractive

In "Common/RFA_WString.h" there is note:

NOTE: For std::string compatibility, please define STL_HELPER for your compiler(s).

* In Unix environment, specify the flag for directive -DSTL_HELPER in the makefile.

Even with RFA C++ 8.2.6.L1 I am facing same issue.

Moreover,

When I try to access the API support team link you provided and click on "View Q&A Forum", I am redirected back to the same page where I originally submitted this question.

Could you please advise on the correct way to contact the API support team directly?

Thank you for reaching out to us.

The latest version of RFA C++ is RFA C++ 8.2.6.L1. You can download it from the Software Download. It is in the MDS-API and Robust Foundation API (RFA) - C++ categories.

I have tested it by adding the -std=c++20 option when compiling the StarterConsumer example in the RFA C++ 8.2.5 package.

I only got this warning when building the example.
