I have a question regarding the PermID Entity Search.
When I searched for "7181" in Entity Search, the expected company was not returned in the search results. Instead, the results only showed organizations such as "7181 Ltd" and "FT 7181".
However, when I searched using the company name "Japan Post Insurance Co Ltd", I was able to find the company successfully. On the company's detail page, the Primary Quote section clearly shows:
RIC: 7181.T
Ticker: 7181
Given that the company record contains the ticker 7181, I would have expected it to be returned when searching for "7181".
Could you please explain why the company is not found when searching by ticker value 7181 directly? Is this due to the search algorithm, indexing rules, ticker field configuration, exchange-specific handling, or some other reason?
The search was performed through the PermID Entity Search web interface, not through the API.
