Summary
DataScope Select is adopting an LSEG-aligned DNS for REST and SOAP APIs as part of its transition to a cloud-based architecture and alignment with the LSEG brand. Clients must update applications and configurations to replace the Refinitiv DNS with the new LSEG domain.
Description
What is the change?
DataScope Select will implement a new LSEG-aligned Domain Name System (DNS) for accessing REST and SOAP APIs over the Internet. Clients using DataScope Select and Tick History APIs must replace the existing Refinitiv DNS in their application code, configuration files, and bookmarks with the new LSEG domain shown below:
- Refinitiv DNS: selectapi.datascope.refinitiv.com
- LSEG DNS: selectapi.datascope.lseg.com
Clients can update references to the LSEG DNS between 12 January and 06 March 2026. We recommend completing the update before 21 February 2026 to maintain uninterrupted API access. On this date, the Refinitiv DNS will be disabled for approximately 3-hours, and API access will be available only through the LSEG DNS. (The exact timing will be provided in an update to this notification). After 06 March 2026, the Refinitiv DNS will be fully retired, and only the LSEG DNS will support REST and SOAP API access.
Additionally, clients who currently use IP addresses to access the REST and SOAP APIs must transition to using the LSEG DNS. Direct IP access will no longer be supported, as API IPs can change due to infrastructure IP-related updates.
