Is it possible for me to use LSEG Data Library for Python?

Is it possible for me to use LSEG Data Library for Python? I have an app key generated, but I'm simply not sure if I'm entitled to use RDP.

I'm getting the following error in python, but again is this a license problem or do I need to somehow be approved to using RDP?

The LSEG Data Library for Python can retrieve data from the LSEG Workspace session (desktop.workspace) or the Data Platform session (platform.ldp). This can be configured in the configuration file.

If you are the desktop user, please change the default session to "desktop.workspace" and set the application key in the session.

Thanks for providing the two session formats. I need to understand: if I have fired up my LSEG Workspace desktop application, can I then run RDP? Using an old python script (replace refinitiv with lseg), should I be able to run

I’m not sure if an LSEG Workspace desktop account can be used to log in to RDP. Typically, a Workspace desktop account is intended for desktop users, while an RDP account is for platform users.

In most cases, I have a separate account specifically for RDP.

Please reach out to your LSEG account or sales team directly for guidance on using your LSEG Workspace account.
