Firstly, I believe that you are referring to Media Check, not Adverse Media, as Adverse Media is data (eg: Special Interest Categories are a granular categorization of Adverse Media). I will respond to the rest of your questions with this in mind. Please see my answers below:

Is there a bulk update API or bulk action available to re-run the screening for all existing records with Adverse Media enabled?
There is no bulk update available at the moment. We have the following bulk operations available:
If the screenings are re-run, will previously confirmed hits or false positives need to be re-reviewed and re-confirmed?
If it were available (which it is not), previously reviewed results by you will not need to be re-reviewed. Whatever changes you have made to the case resolution-wise will remain as so.
In particular, no Adverse Media results were returned for “Starmer Keir.” Could you please explain why this occurs? Is this expected behavior for the transposition feature?
Name transposition does not affect Media Check results. Media Check performs a free text search using the name of the entity being screened, and it does not rely on name transposition.

I’m referring to Media Check. As shown in the attached images, there is no Media Check available for “Starmer Keir” (last name–first name order with name transposition enabled). However, Media Check is available for “Keir Starmer” (first name–last name order).

Please let us know why this name is returning different results.

We screened the name “Starmer Keir” with name transposition enabled against both World‑Check and Media Check, and we were able to see results for both check types. Could you please rescreen the same case with Media Check again and confirm whether you are able to find any articles on your side. Moroever, we were also able to obtain results for the name “Keir Starmer.”

Hi @Integrations ,

The issue may be related to the difference in Media Check matching threshold settings. In my group, the matching threshold is configured at 84, and I suspect that your threshold might be set to a higher value. If that’s the case, it could explain why you are not seeing any Media Check results. If this issue is in your pilot account, can you please adjust the Media Check matching threshold and verify whether the results appear.

Note: We do not recommend or prescribe a specific threshold value. This setting should be configured based on your organization’s risk appetite and internal compliance requirements.
