Need to get more details on how to use Electron end points

We would like connect to below end points from our on-prem server(window system) . We would like to use any one of the below approach

us-east-1-aws-1-med.ppe.int.optimized-pricing-api.refinitiv.com
Service ID: GE-Hxxxxx

• RTSDK(by using C#)
• Websocket

The question is
1) if we decided to use RTSDK CSharp or Websoket then we need build our own Real time optimizer end points in our infrastructure?
2) Please guide us what protocol will be used if we build the application by using RTSDK lib?

3) In the both the method do we need to get the token first from (api.refintiv.com ) and by using that token we need to login into RTO end points

The Real-Time Optimized is the Real-Time infrastructure endpoints deployed on the Cloud (currently AWS).

The Endpoint DNS name us-east-1-aws-1-med.ppe.int.optimized-pricing-api.refinitiv.com means

• us-east-1: this endpoint is available in AWS us-east-1 region
• med: this endpoint provides a medium tier watchlist size
• ppe: this endpoint is a Pre-Production environment

Let get back to your questions:

Question 1: if we decided to use RTSDK CSharp or Websoket then we need build our own Real time optimizer end points in our infrastructure?

Answer: No, you do not need to. The Real-Time endpoint is already deployed on the Cloud (AWS). You just need to connect to the us-east-1-aws-1-med.ppe.int.optimized-pricing-api.refinitiv.com endpoint via the company proxy, firewall, or whatever network policy.

Question 2: Please guide us what protocol will be used if we build the application by using RTSDK lib?

Answer: The best connection protocol for the RTSDK (EMA and ETA APIs) are the RSSL connection. The RSSL connection is LSEG proprietary TCP connection that sends and receives data in binary. It is design for the Real-Time data distribution. It provides better performance than the WebSocket that data is large JSON string message.

The WebSocket connection is suitable for the web/mobile application, or you consume only few RICs.

Question 3: In the both the method do we need to get the token first from (api.refintiv.com ) and by using that token we need to login into RTO end points

Answer: By default, the EMA API automatically login to api.refinitiv.com (Production env), query the Service Discovery (get the list of RTO endpoints), and connect to the selected endpoint for you. You do not need to send a login via the REST API manually.

Since you have to connect to the PPE environment endpoint, this EMA C# API 451_MP_OAuth2Callback_V2 (GitHub) might be suitable for you.

You need to specify the following parameters when run an application:

• -clientId (Your GE-Hxxxx)
• -clientSecret associated secret for the service account
• -host: us-east-1-aws-1-med.ppe.int.optimized-pricing-api.refinitiv.com
• -port: 14002
• -tokenV2URL: https://api.ppe.refinitiv.com:443/auth/oauth2/v2/token (because you are connecting to the PPE environment)
