Clarification on Partial Page Update Highlighting in Workspace vs Eikon

Hi LSEG Support,

We would like to confirm the expected visual behaviour for page-based updates in LSEG Workspace.

From the LSEG documentation, we understand that page rows can be updated either as:

• Full update — the whole row/field is sent.
• Partial field update — only the changed characters are sent using an intra-field positioning sequence.

Could you please confirm the following:

1. In LSEG Workspace, if only a partial field update is received for a page row, is it expected that the entire row may still flash/highlight as updated, or should only the changed portion of the row flash?
   
2. Was the behaviour the same in the previous Eikon terminal, or did Eikon highlight only the specific characters/data points changed by a partial field update?

We are trying to determine whether the visual flashing behaviour in Workspace can be used to identify whether a full-row or partial-row update was actually contributed.

If the flashing behaviour is purely a client-side presentation feature and does not indicate the actual update payload type, could you please confirm this as well?

It could be one of the following scenarios:

1. The backend servers or sevirces may apply partial updates and then send a full update to Workspace.
2. Workspace receives a partial update and applies it to its local cache.

In the first scenario, the entire row will flash when the update is received. In the second scenario, please contact the Workspace Support team to confirm the expected behaviour and verify how partial updates are handled.
